Cillian is sexy as hell, a front man to the Irish rock band, Over The Edge, he's sinfully handsome, a god and an asshole. Totally!!! His fame made him an easy target for women. Not to mention, he can be very determined to get what he want. He wanted Renner since the first time he laid eyes on her years ago, and now that she's back and all grown up, he's determined to finish what they started.
Renner is a control freak.
She arrives to work early, pays her bills five days before they are due, and she never, ever would get involved with a musician. That is way too risky, far too wild, and didn't fit in with her ideals as to what made up the perfect relationship.
She had an ideal relationship, a well-paid job and everything was perfect in her world. Until the unthinkable happened. Shame-filled Renner goes back to Dublin to get her head straight, heal and hide. She was doing her usual routine, when she once again bumped into Cillian. It was unexpected since she was hoping he was still on tour. One night, some years ago, she had experienced a toe-curling, orgasmic kiss that had melt her insides. She thought he felt the same way too, only to see that he was kissing another girl when he left her. She thought he forgot her and what happened those nights, but some things aren't meant to be forgotten.
She tried to resist temptation, and shove him away. She wasn't ready for a relationship, well, he wasn't asking for one. He just wanted to fuck her senseless - and he wasn't afraid to tell her that! But will that ever be enough for her? Now someone is standing between them, lying, manipulating, and trying to get them apart. Will Cillian finally come to his senses before it becomes too late? Or will lose her forever?
And because he did the stupidest thing any man would do, a simple apology won't suffice. He needed a grand gesture. Indeed, the gesture was grand, but was it enough for Renner to forgive him after all the pain he have caused her?
Off Course - is more than sex and rock n'roll - oh I so definitely agree. But I don't mind the rock n'roll, most especially the sex. I laughed, swooned, fell in love, got angry, and finally felt relieved. It was a whole range of emotions that kept me hanging up to the wee hours of the morning just to finish this book, and yes, I was totally, totally hooked, and I wonder, how did it take me this long to read Off Course or any of her books?! (ARGH! I'm missing so much!!) Nevertheless, its never too late. I enjoyed reading this book and would gladly recommend it to friends!
