Temporary Bliss by BJ Harvey - Book Tour, Book Review, Giveaway

Title: TEMPORARY BLISS
(Bliss # 1, New Erotic Romance Series)
Author: BJ Harvey
Published: August 29th

Makenna Lewis cringes at any mention of the word commitment. She doesn’t want or need a relationship, but she does like sex (who doesn't).
That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three 'friends with benefits'.
They know the score, they know they're not the only one, and each of them provide her with a different physical need that she craves and enjoys.
Until a late night encounter with the delicious Daniel Winters turns her preconceived notion of no-commitment completely on its head.
Soon she finds herself feeling things she vowed never to feel again, and when Daniel pushes for more than she’s willing to give, she falters.
What do you do when something that you’ve known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right?
If you’re Mac, you run and hide.
But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?

 WOWZERS.
I haven’t read a girl who’s sex life had my jaws dropping – my... Mac is really something.
Good thing the blurb says that there is nothing about cheating on this book – because cheating isn’t really my cup of tea. Instead, Temporary Bliss, surprised me with its plot, the characters and the sizzling sex scenes that is absolutely shouting H-O-T. If most girls like and demand commitment – spare Mac. She’s no ordinary girl. After what she has been through with a man, there is no way she’s going on the same road again. She doesn’t like all the drama attached to commitment – but there’s one thing she loved to do – SEX.
Here comes the three ‘friends with benefits’.
There’s Noah – AKA the Walking Dildo – he’s a surgical resident she loves to do every now and then at the on-call room.
Sparks flew, scrubs came off, and my no strings attached relationship with Dr. Noah Taylor began.
Then Sean – AKA Mr. Dom – her very own Christian Grey.
Sean Miller introduced me to a world of domination, submission and the earth-shattering orgasms that could be had under his hands and other body parts.
There’s Zander – AKA the Stripper – Magic Mike comes into my mind. If he’s hot as Channing, I totally understand why she couldn’t say NO. He has a penchant for public places.
 PANTING YET?
She had everything her body needed and craved – with no strings attached and no commitment required. It was the perfect set up. Until HE came along.
Daniel ‘Superman’ Winters – AKA THE ONE. I love his wit, his charm, his oozing sex appeal and his persuasiveness. When he knew about her FUBUs, he was graceful about it (which I’m really happy about, I was really hoping he would not freak out). What I didn’t expect is for him to give to her what these men are giving. He wanted her to be his and he was not afraid to show it to her.
Only that, his sudden behavioural changes, possessiveness, and acts-like-a-boyfriend made Mac panic. She had vowed never to love again, never to put herself in the position of being hopelessly in love with a person and giving him the power to crush her. So she took the coward’s way and RAN, as fast as she could, as far as her feet could take her.
Daniel is sure about her, but is she sure about him? Will she risk her heart again? Or will she run away from something real, wonderful and probably the best thing that has happened to her? Daniel has feelings for her, but how long is he willing to wait?
The men here are pretty awesome. You will swoon for each of them, because despite their situation, you will find that these guys are pretty nice, and gentlemen too. In the end, they all became great friends with Mac and is happy that she finally have opened herself up and found the one.
Okay, forget the men, because they aren’t the only best thing that has happened here. You have to meet Kate – she’s a really great friend who is willing to be there for her, whatever the cost is. She’s one tough cookie, loyal to a fault and believes in fairytales. She offers her best counsel but doesn’t push it, she wasn’t afraid to let Mac have it especially when she knew her friend is doing something stupid. I can’t wait to read her story for the next installment.
Temporary  Bliss is a love story of two strangers who met in the most crowded places unexpectedly, and surprisingly fell in love with each other. Sometimes, you don’t expect to fall in love – it will catch you in the moment you are unaware of, and you will be futile to resist it.
Break your heart, get hot and bothered, and fall in love in the process. Temporary Bliss is a MUST READ.

Cupping my cheek with one hand, he glides the other into my hair, and nips my bottom lip, requesting entry. I comply immediately, wrapping my hands around his neck and pulling him as close as I can, stroking his tongue with mine, and losing myself in the moment.

I’ve always loved kissing. I may not do strings, but kissing is a must have. It’s intimate, it’s hot when done right, and Daniel seems to be an expert in it. I mean of course he is! I’m starting to wonder if there is anything this man can’t do well.

I move my fingers through the back of his hair, applying just enough pressure to show my enjoyment. I hear a growl rumble deep in his chest, and I know he’s getting close to the breaking point. I feel his hand move down my arm, the slight roughness of his fingers tracing an invisible line of lust down my body. He cups my breast, rubbing his thumb across my now erect nipple, straining against its lace prison, and begging to be released. I move my hands, raking my fingers down his back and reveling when I feel him arch against me. We’re lost in a frenzy of mouths, lips, tongues and hands, neither one of us wanting to stop. All of a sudden, the car jolts as a dog jumps up against the side of the now fogged up car, forcing me to scream in shock.

We pull apart slightly, and I rest my head on his shoulder as I erupt into a fit of giggles. I feel a light peck on my cheek before he whispers, “I’m starting to think you might be the superhero, Mac. You make me lose my mind.”

“Right back at ya, Superman.”

I love reading, and started writing my first novel, Lost in Distraction in December 2012. Before that I’d written business and website articles professionally but never fiction.
