has always been the case. If she only found the strength to go out the door –
she would have saved herself and the only person that mattered to her. But no.

Trudy
Love had been through hell, and experienced a deep sense of loss that nothing
or no one could ever replace. She had jumped from one foster home to another,
and ended up with an abusive boyfriend who likes to get high. At 19, she had
experienced how painful life can be.
After
six months, she decided to get on with her life and finally moved somewhere
else: Mobile, Alabama. Eager to start anew, and not to draw attention from
anyone, but on the first day of school, she had already got attention from a
lot of people, and a person whose eyes reminds her much of the one person she
longed for daily. She tries to fight the attraction and the emotion off, she
was here to heal, to forget, to start – having a relationship was not in her
priorities.
Jaxon
Coleman is filthy rich, but down to earth. He might afford anything and
everything, but he only wants one thing – and this one can’t be bought and he
was having a hard time catching her as well. All he wanted to do was to finish
med school and follow his father’s footsteps, until he bump into Trudy. One
look at her and he knew this person is broken and has a lot of secrets to
share, but he was determined to have her, and he would have her. He would have
his Tru Love.
They
were perfectly fine until her past came back to haunt her.
They
were too different, yet meant to be together. While Jax had experienced a
perfect life, Trudy experienced the opposite – but it didn’t matter to him. This
is why I love his character the most -
despite his wealth, he is very humble, down-to-earth and a giving person. He protects
what is his and it didn’t hurt that this guy is intelligent and hot. He is
quite a catch. I also understand why Trudy tried to fight off her feelings –
but I was glad that she decided to share that secret part of herself to Jax
before involving herself with him.
Did
I tell you I adore her tattoo as well? It was so beautiful and meaningful. Some
of the pages of the book were marked by it.
The
story wasn’t dragged (thank goodness), the characters were just interesting
(not just the lead characters): I adore Jazz, and more so David. They have the
perfect family, different but perfect. R.D. Cole had written a story so
compelling it was so hard to put down. The journey that Trudy and Jax had taken
wasn’t perfect – but the whole ride was worth it.
My
first R.D. Cole novel and I was hooked. Spent a day in bed lying around and
finishing the two in one day – considering how the first book end, good thing I
have the second book and I just have to read it immediately. It ended with a
very surprising twist that had my jaws dropping.
I
just want you to know that whatever happens in life helps us make who we’re
meant to be and leads us to people we’re meant to meet.

The
first time shy, geeky Mason was smitten with a photo of Jazz – I just knew she
was IT for him. Jazz was the life of the party, the girl everyone wants to have
friends with, she was outgoing, pretty and filled with self-confidence, even I
was drawn to this girl the first time she was introduced in book 1. How much
more Mason?
But
behind this full of life exterior is a girl who’s self-esteem has struck low.
The guy whom she thought loved her, was a stupid mistake who only wanted one
thing for her. Now, she’s reaping the consequences alone. Until Mason came to
save her.
Mason
is a quiet, shy computer geek who loves his family and knows how to make
awesome fake IDs. He wasn’t really the boyfriend material, he’s more of a
friend. His social life is almost non-existence since he was helping his single
mother with her sister. Who doesn’t love a smart, responsible guy?!
I
think Mason’s strongest moment is when he stood up in that table and claimed
the responsibility. I was so cheering for him then. I can’t believe he had it
in him. I knew Jax would flip out and would probably give him a shiner, but he
doesn’t care. He wanted this girl, and this was his opportunity to show her how
much she meant to him.
He
was her best friend, besides Trudy who was now busy with Jax. She can tell him
about anything, but when she viewed him differently and she starts to squirm
around him, blaming all her libido spike to pregnancy hormones, Jazz knew
decisions, and relationship shifts will have to be made.
But
old flames starts to spread havocs in their lives, and some secrets are just
too big to be kept – will their love be strong enough to surpass this?
Opposite
attracts, these two are the perfect for each other. They complement and
complete one another. What is more perfect is that both of them started out as
friends. They knew each other, before they did each other. Mason didn’t
question her about things she wasn’t ready to answer, and for that she was
thankful. He accepted her as a whole, scars and all, and he made her feel
beautiful – I know it was only a matter of time till she fall for him.
The
old gang is still there, if you think David is crazy, wait till you meet Ryan
and Cory. And Lyric (the guy in book 3) is also introduced. Mason and Jazz
surely owed him a lot after what he did for him. He really can do anything, but
he still can give me chills (creepy and exciting kind). I can’t wait for his
story! Unexpected friendships were formed – I thought it was far-fetched and
she wouldn’t understand, but she did and she didn’t blame Jazz for what
happened.
If
you think you enjoyed the first book in the series, wait till you read this
Jazz’s Story. This story tells us that true love can be patient, forgiving, will
accept you for all your imperfections and doesn’t expect anything in return. Jazz
and Mason shared a love so true it surpassed a lot of bumps in the road before
they had their HEA. I simply loved it, and will gladly recommend this book, and series to
friends!
I
guess love is the ultimate super power because I’d take on the world just to
make her happy.
