Aubrey wanted to change from her old ways. She used to be a serial dater, she’d love the rush of the early stages of a relationship, but once the rush is gone, and she’d leave them. It took one awful pregnancy scare to make her change her ways. She decided to make school her first priority, and stop dating. She was successful in doing so, until she bumps into Luka. Her math tutor.

I could hear his accent, and swoon! Luka Ivanovich is one hell of an alpha male. I wonder why his ex-girlfriend didn’t see how great this guy is and managed to break his heart into pieces. His past mistake made him wary of the girls surrounding him. Aubrey’s past and record made him wonder if she’s any relationship material. He decided to step back, think about it first, before he ask her out. It didn’t matter whether he was completely drawn to her, or he was a bad case of a walking blue ball. His heart had just mended from being broken.

Everything was worth the wait – their first kiss, their first time together – they didn’t rush the relationship, although Luka was dying to have her. Aubrey was willing to wait, to prove, perhaps to him or to herself that this was more than just sex. As for Luka, he needed to prove that what they have is more than just a rebound for him. After all, he had been with his ex far too long.

So, they tried to take it slow, slow enough until both of them were ready to experience spontaneous combustion because of the chemistry that surrounds them. The air was thick with sexual tension, even I was afraid I’d get blue balls!!! (LOL). But the moment they finally gave in to their attraction – all the wait was worth it.

Okaaay – Luka might be overbearing sometimes, especially with his caveman ways – but he’s making up with it by means of f**kpology, and if him his alpha male tendencies would get him in trouble with her, it was ALMOST worth it. The trust issues lingered for a bit, and almost destroyed their relationship. But thank goodness, they have friends who are ready to get their heads out of their a**es, or else, all those hard work will be put into waste.

This is my third book by Rochelle Paige, and the third book of the Blythe College Series – so far, I’m yet to be disappointed. She gave me another engaging read, sexy and romantic. You can’t help but love the characters despite their imperfections, and I was so glad to see the old ones are living their HEAs.

One thing though… I don’t think I can look at the grapefruit the same way again after reading this!

Hit the Wall (Blythe College, #2) - MY REVIEW

7328358I absolutely adore reading - always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing. I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it. When I told my mom that my new year's resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me "About time!"
