Stay. Stay with me. Stay here. Stay close. Stay like this forever. Stay as happy as I am right here in your arms, always.

All I’ve ever wanted was to be loved, but if this is what true love is…I’m not so sure I want it anymore. It also makes me wonder if any of my memories of our once happy marriage are even real. Maybe I just conjured up the fairy tale in my head because I wanted…no…needed it so much. Who the hell knows?

“Molly just called to remind you about your book club meeting this afternoon.” He turns away. “I told her you’ve never missed a meeting and I doubt today would be any different.”

The door shuts behind him before I let a smile creep across my lips. Instantly, the hurt from this morning flees my mind and I feel nothing but giddiness. I have a book club meeting today, and let’s just say it’s not your everyday book club.

Sure, my husband may never truly love me again…but who needs love when you’re about to get an eyeful of hot firemen?

* * *

Tell Me You Love Me is the first in a four-book series called Fire Me Up—a sweet romantic comedy series about a group of sassy neighborhood women who have a serious love for steamy romance novels and sexy firemen. Lucky for them the local firehouse is just a few steps away and is in no shortage of hot firefighters to fill their wild imaginations.

We get to meet set of friends whom you will adore. Not to mention, a whole lot of book recommendation from these girls, some of the books I have already read, and these girls do have taste!

The first book is all about Liz and Ryan.

Lizzy is an amazing girl with a great wit. She had some weight problems and it is putting some weight on her marriage. Anyone can see Jace is a total a** who doesn’t deserve this wonderful woman. I wanted her to leave him, to leave his house, and to finally see herself the way I see her. Abuse comes in different forms, and hers, the emotional one is just a little heartbreaking. It was breaking her spirit, and her esteem. She deserves to be love fully.

Good thing she has her friends (Molly, Rachel, & Rose) whom she meets for the book club meeting, and to ogle sexy firemen who come along their way. It was usually the highlight of her week, and of my read. Who doesn’t want a glimpse of these gorgeous and hot fire fighters?

What she didn’t expect was to meet the newbie, Ryan, and the sparks that ignite between them. No this is book doesn’t have a ‘cheating’ involve in it, I swear! Or I wouldn’t have loved it. There was some flirty banter every now and then, she might have forgotten to tell him about her civil status – but there was no incidence that she had crossed that line. Her husband might have treated her like trash, but it didn’t occur to her to cheat on him.

I wonder when she would finally see herself – on how great and wonderful she is, rather than believe in her husband’s words. When would she finally break it off with him and be with Ryan? It took some time, and some heartbreaking moments before she had finally woke up – but at the expense of her heart.

Would she be able to make it up to Ryan after all of this is finished?

It’s a fun, easy on the heart and short read. I fully enjoyed this book because of the great, hilarious and real characters. You can easily identify yourself with one of the characters and tell yourself – that’s definitely me! Julie made her characters with flaws, imperfect, and just the usual baggage any one of us can relate too. No unnecessary drama, which I am so thankful for.

Tell Me You Love Me tells its readers that no matter what, you have to love yourself and be with the person who loves your imperfections.

I can't wait for Molly's story, the epilogue had me excited! yay!
